| Customer Reviews: Good but missing some key data June 11, 2010 B^4 (San Diego, CA) So far the book is a good study guide for the content and the problems are okay. I'm only in chapter 2. The only problem is that some of the problems are missing key data to actually solve them which makes the problem useless or impossible.
Excellent Resource December 19, 2009 David A. Nuss (Colorado Springs, CO) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have been a full-time and adjunct professor for 41 years. This is an excellent text/resource for all thermodynamics students. One could teach the entire first semester and portions of follow-on courses from this text. Material is clearly and logically explained. If left to select a text for the first thermo course, and in consideration of student budgets, I would use this as the basic text and supplement with copies of my lecture notes. Of course, at some point, the practicing engineer would want to acquire a copy of Cengel and Boles. Delivery from Amazon was fast!
Very Useful Study Aid October 15, 2009 Timothy S. Newell 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a really useful study aid for Thermodynamics. The explanations are thorough enough that it follows just about any textbook, and easy enough to understand. The example problems are also very helpful, and cut down my time on doing homework problems. Highly recommended.
